HC orders status-quo on constructions by Minister’s son

JAMMU, Dec 28: High Court has directed the Deputy Commissioner and SSP Kathua to ensure maintenance of status quo at a site where the son of Forest Minister Ch Lal Singh is illegally raising huge industrial unit including a stone crusher.
The direction was passed in a writ petition titled Ratno Devi and Others Versus State of J&K and Others.
After hearing Advocate Ankur Sharma for the petitioners, Justice Alok Aradhe directed Registry to list the case again on January 30, 2018 for further orders on which date DC and SSP Kathua shall submit a compliance report.
The petitioners have sought demolition and dismantling of all types of constructions raised by son of Minister after 06.12.2017 for the purposes of raising/installing M/s Rawi Stone Crusher at village Dhanna.
