HC directs FFC to consider fee hike

SRINAGAR, Nov 23: High Court today directed the Fee Fixation Committee to consider the representation of the schools for enhancement in fee structure within permissible period.
The Division Bench of Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir and Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey directed the Fee Fixation Committee to accord consideration to the representation of petitioner-school for enhancement of fee.
The Counsel for petitioner (Tyndale Biscoe and Mallinson) Sunil Sethi (Senior Advocate) submitted before the Division Bench that the petitioners would feel satisfied in case Committee is directed to consider representation of the petitioner (schools) as have been filed in pursuance to order dated 05.06.2017 with a further direction to consider revision of fee structure by 15%.
“Petitions along with connected MPs are disposed with a direction to the Committee to accord consideration to the representation of the petitioners as is stated to have been filed in pursuance to order dated 05.06.2017 and to take decision thereon whatever permissible preferably within a period of 15 days”, DB directed.
Court also said that enhancement of fee structure by 15% be also considered by the Committee.
