HC directive to BOPEE

JAMMU, Jan 16: Vacation Judge of High Court Justice Sanjay Gupta has directed the Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) to extend the date of counselling for BAMS till January 30, 2019.
The direction has been passed in an application filed by Jammu Institute of Ayurveda & Research seeking direction to BOPEE to further extend the date of counselling and allocation of students till 30th of January 2019 or for another 30 days as has been done by various High Courts for the academic sessions 2018-19 for undergoing BAMS (UG) course and PG Courses for the remaining unfilled seats in petitioner college in view of order of withdrawal of permission to undertake admissions issued by respondent being stayed by the High Court vide interim order dated 24/10/2018.
After hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi with Advocate Veenu Gupta for the petitioner, High Court directed BOPEE to extend the date of counselling till 30.01.2019.
“The respondent shall issue public notice in accordance with admission brochure for all the concerned students for counselling”, the High Court further said, adding “after conducting the counselling requisite seats under various categories be allotted to the petitioner institute. The respondent is at liberty to file application for alteration, cancellation/ modification of this order on or before the next date of hearing”.
