Haryana wins Jammu Pro Kabaddi Tournament

JAMMU, Oct 24: DBP Sports Club registered win in junior section by beating Pathankot Kabaddi Club, while in the senior section, Haryana boys smashed Amritsar Boys to clinch the title in the Jammu Pro Kabaddi League, played at RS Pura.
On the occasion, Minister of State with Independent Charge of Transport, RNB, RDD, Youth Affairs and Sports Sunil Sharma was the chief guest, while IGP Jammu Zone Danish Rana and President JKKA Anil Gupta were the guests of honour.
Chief Patron of the DBP Club and MLA RS Pura presented the welcome address.
While speaking, Minister said that the youth particularly from the RS Pura belt have tremendous talent and this should be converted into positive energy.
He also paid tributes to the four martyrs Devinder, Balwinder, Pritam and Janveer, in whose memory this e Kabaddi tournament was organized.
IGP Jammu Zone Danish Rana in his address said that these kind of tournaments help youth to stay away from drugs and other social evils.
A total of 20 teams from UP, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, J&K, JKP, BSF and local clubs participated.
On the occasion SP Headquarters Jammu Ramesh Kotwal, SDPO RS Pura Surinder Kumar, BJP Leader Karan Bhagat, Brijesh Rana, Jawahar Singh, Lucky Chabbra and other prominent persons were present.
