Harsh seeks public support in coming ULB elections

JAMMU, Sept 4: Urging upon the people to support Panthers Party in the ensuing Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections, party chairman Harsh Dev Singh today said that it was the right time to avenge those who had betrayed them and sold their mandate for the fruits of power.
Addressing public meeting at Sainik Colony today, Singh said that with polls for the Urban Local Bodies having been announced on party lines, the people of Jammu must use this opportunity to convey a blunt message to the saffron brigade which admittedly failed to honour the aspirations of its electorates during its 3½ year rule. Rather than espousing the cause of Jammu while in power, these mandated leaders promoted the agenda of Kashmir centric forces and pushed Jammu to terminal decline as never witnessed before, he said.
“Remember, the Sainik Colony project in Kashmir was shelved by the BJP partnered Govt at the behest of separatist and anti-national forces despite it having been approved earlier and requisite land also having been identified for the purpose. They refused to implement the said project for ex- army personnel in Kashmir only because the Armed forces symbolize Indian nationalism. Again it was during their rule that national symbols were repeatedly dishonoured and insulted despite their tall Jingoistic slogans of ‘hard nationalism’ and ‘zero tolerance’ against anti- India forces.

While the anti-nationals were pampered and mollycoddled, the soldiers were belittled and betrayed during their rule. Again it was their rule which haplessly watched our army jawans being stoned, slapped, manhandled, humiliated, heckled and jeered. And rather than booking the Pak sponsored culprits, the saffron flavoured Govt chose to register FIRs against the brave-hearts”, Harsh Dev maintained.
Strongly condemning the previous BJP-PDP Government’s despicable admission that the government had no policy of providing the financial assistance in the shape of ex-gratia to the martyrs of the State, Singh further rebuked the BJP for stooping abysmally low by raising charity worth few lakhs for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defense of nation. Ex-MLA Yash Paul Kundal also spoke on the occasion.
