UDHAMPUR, Jan 25 : Terming agriculture as a great boon for farming community, the Member Legislative Assembly, Ramnagar, Harshdev Singh exhorted upon the experts of Agriculture Department to put in their sincere efforts in educating the farmers about the latest technological advancements for raising crop production.
Singh was addressing a gathering of farmers and officers of Agriculture Department after inaugurating Kissan Mela Cum Exhibition organized by Agriculture Department under Centrally Sponsored Scheme “ATMA” at village Dalsar in Ramnagar tehsil.
He said that such Melas besides encouraging the farmers in agricultural and allied activities help in developing cordial relationship between the department and the farmers. The department provides various facilities and schemes to support the farmers in various fields, he said and asked the farmers to take the benefit of new technological interventions for getting better results in crop productivity.
Experts of Agriculture Department delivered lecturers on various topics for boosting agriculture productions.
The chief guest also distributed prizes and certificates among the farmers for their vegetable samples.
Earlier, Singh Inaugurated newly upgraded High School Kathil Domar in village Kathil- Ganju in Ramnagar tehsil.
