Haji for probe into Roshni

SRINAGAR, June 28:  Chairman Haji Anayat Ali today directed the Government to constitute a High Level Committee to probe the misappropriation in land allocation under Roshni Act.
The Chairman issued the directions after the legislators demanded constituting House Committee to investigate the matter.
The Chairman said that the High Level Committee would do a thorough probe into the matter and submit its report to the Government. He added that if the House would not be content with the Committee report, then a House Committee could be constituted.
Earlier, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari speaking on the issue suggested that if legislators agree the Government would constitute a High Level Committee that would do the probe in the matter.
He assured the House that he would himself accompany the Committee members to do on spot inspection of the alleged encroached lands.
