JAMMU, Dec 21: To discuss the problems faced by the Kargil bound passengers during winters, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Haji Anayat Ali, Chairman Legislative Council here today.
During the meeting, detailed discussion was held on different issues especially the need of better coordination between different agencies dealing with Kargil Air Services. The issue of flight cancellation and facilities at airports of Jammu, Srinagar and Kargil available for the passengers were also discussed in the meeting.
Haji Anayat Ali asked the concerned to airlift students and patients on priority. He also impressed upon them to ensure better coordination and management between the line agencies for the convenience of the passengers.
Officers of Kargil based Air Services assured the Chairman that needy passengers would be given priority. They also assured that frequency of the air-sorties would also be increased to accommodate more and more passengers.
The meeting was attended by the AOC Air Force Station Jammu, Commissioner Civil Aviation, Airport Manager Jammu, Managing Director, SRTC, SSP Anti Hijacking Srinagar and Jammu Airport besides Secretary Legislative Council.
