KARGIL, Jan 17: Namgyal Angchuk Gyapo, president of Ladakh Winter Sports Club, Leh wass elected as vice president of J&K Ice Hockey Association during the Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) held under the Chairmanship of Aga Sayed Jamal, vice president J&K Ice Hockey Association at Old Hall of J&K Arts, Cultural & Language, Baroo, here.
The AGM granted Membership to Ladakh Winter Sports Club Leh and Kargil Ice & Snow Sports Club with voting rights.
It also granted provisional Membership to Kashmir Ice Hockey Association (KIHA) from Srinagar and decided to grant permanent Membership with voting right to the Association in next AGM.
The issue of granting Membership to KIHA was raised by its general secretary, Mohd Yousuf.
The Meeting also decided to grant Life Membership to the Founder Members of J&K Ice Hockey Association with voting right with effect from January16, 2017.
The Meeting further decided that the Annual J&K State Ice Hockey Championship 2017 will be held at Leh subject to favourable weather conditions.
The meeting also decided to amend Article No 15, 17 and 21 of J&K Ice Hockey Association related to Doping Rules & Regulation and Banking Operation etc.
