SRINAGAR: Governor N N Vohra today reviewed the arrangements put in place for the Amarnath yatra at Nunwan base camp and Chandanwari, the last motorable halting station, on traditional Pahalgam yatra route to holy cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas.
An official spokesperson said here this evening that Mr Vohra, Chairman of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), visited the Chandanwari Control Gate and Nunwan Yatra Camp to inspect arrangements in place for the ongoing Yatra, which commenced from both the shortest Baltal and Pahalgam routes on June 29, 2017.
The Governor took stock of the facilities at the Access Control Gate Chandanwari and directed all concerned officers of the District Administration to ensure that there is no impediment in the pilgrimage till its conclusion on August 7, 2017. (AGENCIES)
