JAMMU: Governor NN Vohra today felicitated Meenal Gupta at the Raj Bhavan here. She was accompanied by her father Atul Gupta.
Ms Gupta has won a gold medal in the Girls U-14 Category in the “Commonwealth Chess Tournament” which was held in Sri Lanka earlier this year. The Governor gave a cash prize of Rs 31,000 and assured her of all required support for further advancing her prowess in this game.
He also spoke to her father about the facilities available to the girl for pursuing her passion and promised help if she encountered any hurdles.
Mr Vohra congratulated Meenal’s father and wished her continuing high success in all her future endeavours. (AGENCIES)
