Guv asks Omar to take positive steps in J&K’s interest

JAMMU: Governor N N Vohra today asked former Chief Minister and working president of opposition National Conference Omar Abdullah to take positive steps in the advancement of the State’s interests.

Abdullah had called on Governor at the Raj Bhavan here today.

The Governor asked Abdullah and his party to take active positive interest in the advancement of the State’s interests and to see large scale participation in the ensuing Panchayat, Municipal and Parliament elections, a Raj Bhawan spokesman said.

Abdullah informed the Governor about certain governance issues which are awaiting the State Government’s decision and the significant matters which are expected to be discussed in the ongoing session of the Legislature. (AGENCIES)
