Guru Purnima celebrated with fervour, enthusiasm

JAMMU, July 9: The occasion of Guru Purnima was celebrated with great religious rituals and pomp and show at different Ashrams today.
The disciples and followers of Swami Maharaj Purshotam Acharya thronged at New Plot Ashram in large numbers at a function organized there to seek blessings of their Guru. The occasion was marked with Bhajan, Kirtan and Satsang besides Guru Vandana. The Swami showered blessings on his disciples and their families and also prayed the Almighty for universal peace and brotherhood. Prominent among those present on the occasion included Sunil Dimple, Ashok Sharma, Satish Jandyal, Sat Pal, Purshotam Kumar, Ghanshyam, Ram Parkash Pandoh, Sudershan Kumari Pandoh, Pushpa Devi, Viaso Devi, Shakuntla Devi, Jagdish Magotra and others.
Spiritual Awareness Society (SAS) celebrated the Guru Purnima by organising a grand spiritual Satsang at its Janipur Ashram. The head of SAS Radha Mata Jee highlighted the importance of the day and shared her experiences with Satsangis. A floral tribute was also paid to founder of SAS Dr K Krishna Je Maharaj and his sermons were read out. SAS HJead Radha Mata Jee called upon all Satsangis not to indulge in materialism and devote maximum time in chanting ‘Aum’. The function also culminated with chanting of Aum.
Devotees of Swami Dinesh Bharti organised a function at Galwade, Gajansoo Marh in which Gaddid hailing from Jammu paid their obeisance and sought blessings of their Guru Ji. Guru Bhai Krishan Lal Dutt and Bhai Lokesh Ji delivered religious sermons. Later a Langer was also organized. Prominent devotees included Naveen Pual, Raju Kumar Choudhary etc.
The devotees of Shree Guru Niwas Ashram, Shakti Nagar Jammy celebrated Guru Purnima with religious fervour and enthusiasm. Day long prayers were held in which large number of people participated. Bhajan and Kirtan were rendered by the devotees in praise of the Lord and the Guru Mata for the entire day. Special prayers were offered for the well being of the people of the nation in general and of Jammu and Kashmir in particular. Parsad was distributed at the conclusion of the Pooja Archana.
Bhagwaan Gopinathji Trust celebrated Guru Purmina at its Ashram Udaiwala, Bohri. A Pushp Archana Homa was held at the feet of Bhagwaanji in the Ashram at 8 am. Devotees in large number thronged the Ashram early in the morning and the congregation had an ecstatic experience of devotion for the Guru. There was an Ananda and blissall around charging everyone spiritually. Guru Purnima was also observed at the Ashrams at Kharyar, Srinagar Kashmir; Greater Kailash Pomposh Enclave New Delhi; Hastal village Vikaspuri New Delhi, Pashan Sus Road, Nande, Pune; S No. 57/5 Devangondi Hoshalli, White Field Bengaluru and at its centres at Charkop village Naka, Kandivalli, Mumbai; Gole Gujral Jammu and also at various Satsang Mandals spread across the country and abroad.
Guru Purnima was celebrated in Pushkara Swami Sewa Ashram Trust, Chinore Bantalab and Najabgarh Delhi with greaty pomp and show. The Pooja of Guru Maharaj started at 10 am and culminated at 1 pm. All the devotees who had come from far off places participated in the function followed by Bhajan Kirtan and Satsang. At 2:30 pm Parsad was served to the devotees.
Guru Purnima was celebrated with fervour and gaiety at Krishna Satsang Hall, Greeb Dham, Bohri. Gurusevaks from within and outside the State thronged the place and participated in Guru Pooja which commenced at 10 am sharp and all those present were deeply pained to perform Pooja in absence of the mentor Gurdev Anand Swami Pran Nath Bhat “Gareeb’ Baijee who shed his mortal dukedom about five months back. The function continued till 2 pm whererafter Parsad was served. All Gurusevaks elected Prof G L Koul as patron of Gurudham to look after all the future activities and proceedings of Guru Parivaar. All Sadhaks wished well of Prof Koul for managing all the future programmes.
Guru Purnima was celebrated by Manav Utthan Sewa Samiti (J&K) branch Jammu at its Ashram Shri Hans Gyan Mandir Street number 14, Rajpura Mangotrian Jammu with religious fervour and enthusiasm. On this occasion a Sadbhavna Sammelan and Sadbhavna Yatra was organized by the organization. Sadbhavna Yatra was flagged off by Chander Mohan Gupta (Corporator). The main objective was to spread the message of national integration, communal harmony and oneness in the society. Yatra proceeded from Ashram to Shaktinagar, Bakshinagar via Gurha Mode, Rehari Colony and later culminated at Rajpura Ashram. A grand Sadbhavna Sammelan was organised in which Mahatma Samta Bai Ji and Mahatma Anrodh Bai Ji delivered religious discourses on Guru Pooja and Vyas Poooja. After Satsang Bhandara was served and prayers offered for universal peace, brotherhood and upliftment of humanity.
