Gur prices end steady in thin trade

NEW DELHI, May 13:  Quiet conditions showed at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today on scattered deals.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended steady in the absence of any worthwhile activity.
Marketmen said in a lacklustre trade, prices largely held unchanged.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,500-3,600, pedi Rs 3,600-3,700, dhayya Rs 3,700-3,800 and shakkar Rs 3,900-4,000.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 2,950-3,250, khurpa Rs 2,950-3,000 and Ladoo Rs 3,200-3,250.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,150-3,250 and dhayya Rs 3,300-3,350. (PTI)
