Gur prices decline on weak demand

NEW DELHI, June 23: The wholesale gur (jaggery) market settled steady in the national capital today following muted demand amid thin supplies.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended at previous levels on little doings.
Marketmen said sluggish demand and negligible arrivals kept gur prices unaltered.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,500-3,600, pedi Rs 3,650-3,750, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,000-4,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 3,125- 3,350, khurpa Rs N.Q. And Ladoo Rs 3,250-3,300.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,300-3,350 and dhayya Rs 3,400- 3,450. (PTI)
