Gur closes quiet on small buying

NEW DELHI, Mar 3:  The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market remained steady for the third straight day in the national capital today as prices continued to move in a tight range on scattered deals and settled at previous levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also closed on a steady note in thin trade.
Marketmen said adequate stocks position against restricted buying activity kept gur prices at last levels.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,200-3,300, pedi Rs 3,100-3,200, dhayya Rs 3,300-3,400 and shakkar Rs 3,500-3,600.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,550-2,600, chakku Rs 2,875-3,000, khurpa Rs 2,650-2,700 and Ladoo Rs 2,900-2,950.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,750-2,800 and dhayya Rs 2,800-2,850. (PTI)
