JAMMU, Apr 27: MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta and Soujanya Sharma , Commissioner JMC made an on spot assessment of sanitation drive which was started by Corporation a few days ago in the areas of Qasim Nagar & Chand Nagar falling in Ward No. 19. Both MLA Jammu East and Commissioner, JMC were of the opinion that the sanitation drive shall remain in force for another few days, so that the area is completely cleaned and the heaps of the garbage accumulated across the roads and drains shall be given due consideration in low lying area.
On the occasion Commissioner instructed the concerned Executive Engineer and Municipal Veterinary Officer (Zonal Officer-II ) to give due consideration for repair of Nallah passing through Qasim Nagar, besides sanitation of the area as well as installation of street lights in the area at an appropriate place and placement of two garbage containers for collection of garbage.
Further, it was resolved that Corporation will construct Sub Office in the area for the convenience of the Safaikaramcharis and stocking of lime and other related material.
