Gupta alleges misuse of Central funds released in last days of financial year

JAMMU, Apr 1: Several members raised issues of their areas during the Zero Hour in Legislative Assembly.
Qamar Ali Akhoon demanded steps to restore the Zojila Byepass for vehicular traffic at the earliest.  G. M. Saroori urged the Government to ensure sign boards in all district/tehsil/block headquarters are written in Urdu language.
Krishan Chander Bhagat sought upgradation of education infrastructure in his constituency.
Hakim Mohammad Yasin urged the Government to curb the practice of giving unnecessary extension to the Government employees. He said the extensions mar the interests of junior employees.
Mohammad Sharief Niaz urged the Government to ensure completion of verification process of newly appointed Government employees in a minimum time bound manner. Shamima Firdous demanded proper rehabilitation/compensation for the vegetable traders whose shops/sites have come in the road widening in Leh. Bharat Bhushan demanded regular and full scale of ration to BPL families.
Er. Rashid alleged slow progress on fly over project from Jehangir Chowk to Rambagh. He demanded adequate funds for early execution of project.
Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat urged the Government to facilitate pilgrimage for the aspirants from Jammu to Pakistan for paying obeisance to famous Sant Rocha Singh. Mohammad Ashraf Ganai demanded completion of Sopore hospital building expeditiously.
Harshdev Singh demanded enhancement of wages and regularization of SPOs. Ashok Kumar demanded posting of teachers in the Asar-Bagwa zones. T. Namgyal sought check in the rates of essential commodities in Leh.
Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta alleged misuse of Central funds which were released in the last days of financial year. He said bills amounting to crores of rupees could not be en-cashed from the treasuries which lead to create liabilities. He demanded early clearance of liabilities of contractors.
Aijaz Jan demanded fixing of salary/wages for Panchayat Ghar Chowkidars.
Baldev Sharma alleged harassment to Shri Mata Vaishnodevi pilgrims by traffic police on way from Lakhanpur to Katra. He demanded steps to check this practice.
Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal demanded construction of drains in Zakoora area by the concerned authorities on priority. Durga Dass demanded early award for the land acquired for establishing CRPF camp at Koota in Hira Nagar. Yashpaul Kundal demanded clearance of liabilities of contractors of various projects. Rashpal Singh demanded establishment of emergency hospital on Nowshera-Rajouri highway.
Master Lal Chand demanded filling up of vacant posts of teachers in his constituency. Jagdish Raj Sapolia demanded filling up vacant posts of specialist doctors in SDH, Basohli and assistant surgeons in peripheral institutions. Charanjeet Singh also raised the issues of public importance.
