Gun license of alleged poacher cancelled

LEH, Mar 13: The Office of Deputy Commissioner Leh has cancelled the arms license of an alleged poacher, who was apprehended with a periscope gun from a prohibited area, which comes under the Wildlife Protection Act.
The Wildlife Department along with the District Police, managed to apprehend the suspect, who tried to flee from the scene.
On recommendation of the Wildlife Warden, Leh, the arms license No L-1351/Ladakh/08 and UIN 153010029070032016 was cancelled vide order number JC-97(Misc) 2018(903) dated 10-03-2018, says an official handout.
