JAMMU, Mar 2: A GST Seva Kendra was inaugurated at the office of the Commissioner of Central Excise, J&K, here today at the rail head Complex.
C L Dogra, Additional Commissioner of Central Excise Commissionerate, J&K, along with Lalit Mahajan, president of Bari Brahmana Industries Association, formally inaugurated the GST Seva Kendra.
Speaking on the occasion, Dogra said that the Central Board of excise and Customs has taken the imitative of starting the Seva Kendras across the country to facilitate migration of assesses to GST.
“The GST Seva Kendra shall remain open on all working days from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm and would facilitate the assesses in uploading the required documents for registration under GST,” he informed.
Rajan Lachala and Sweta Bector, Deputy Commissioners, Iftikhar Chowdhary, Assistant Commissioner, Satish Kaul, Ajay Langar, Taranvir Singh Gujral and officers of Central Excise Commissionerate were present on the occasion.
