JAMMU, Sept 1: GRP, Kathua has saved a precious life by shifting an injured boy who was lying in unconscious condition on railway track at km 38 by shifting him to district hospital for treatment today.
Police said a boy namely Randeep Singh informed GRP Chann Arorian that his friend namely Sunny Kumar S/o Late Ashok Kumar R/o Bhim Nagar Sonipat Haryana was accompanying him in Train Jehlum Express (Up) but, he is missing from the said train.
The officers and men of GRP Jammu swung into action, communicated with all PPs of GRP Jammu and P/S GRP Kathua and searched for him on Railway track, bridges, culverts and surrounding area of Railway track.
On reaching Km 38 the said boy was found in an unconscious condition near the track. GRP men arranged vehicle to shift the injured male person to District Hospital Kathua immediately for treatment. The boy is responding the treatment at SDH Kathua. There by GRP men by showing presence of mind and timely action saved a precious life.
