GRP organizes railway safety, security awareness camp

JAMMU, Dec 28: GRP organised railway safety and security awareness camp at Railway Station, Bari Brahmana.
The camp was organised to educate the general public regarding safety measures to be adopted while crossing the railway track.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, SP Railways, PV Singh, SDPO Railways, Surinder Paul Singh, SHO police station GRP and Surjeet Singh, incharge, PP GRP Bari Brahmana participated in the camp.
While speaking, the speakers impressed upon the general public to cooperate with GRP in order to ensure safety and security of public.
They added that many times deaths have taken place on railway track due to unawareness of citizens regarding usage of railway track as routine passage which otherwise is prohibited.
Darshan Bali, councilor, Ward number 12, Raman Kumar, coal dealer, Balbir Singh, Superintendent of Rail, Mohan Lal, Tilak Raj, Captain Singh, Mohan Lal, president, Truck Union and Manjeet Singh, secretary, Truck Union demanded construction of overhead bridge at platform as its non-availability has caused many fatal accidents in the past.
