KATRA, June 19: Due to timely action and professional approach of the Railway Police, a two -year old girl child was reunited with her parents, who had inadvertently left her at Katra Railway Station, here yesterday.
GRP personnel deployed at Railway Station Katra found the girl child without her guardian at the platform. On this a thorough search was carried out at the Railway Station Katra in order to trace out the parents/guardian of the said girl child. SHO PIS GRP Katra Inspector Narinder Singh under the supervision of Ranjit Singh Sambyal, SSP Railways Katra, put all the efforts by way of announcements at Railway Station Katra as well as Railway Station Jammu for having a clue of the parents of the child. The territorial police of Katra was also contacted and informed accordingly so as to trace out the guardian/parents of the baby. The GRP personnel accompanying the trains were also directed to identify the parents of the child in the running trains.
Following these hectic efforts, contact was established with the parents, who were travelling in a train after leaving behind their two years old girl child Ruhi at the Railway Station Katra inadvertently. They were advised to come back at PIS GRP Katra to take their child along.
On arrival of the guardian Raj Kumar, father of Ruhi, resident of Ghaziabad, the minor girl child was handed over to him.
