Groundnut oil slips on reduced offtake

NEW DELHI, Aug 25: Groundnut oil prices drifted lower by Rs 200 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market in the national capital today due to reduced offtake by stockists.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and pegged at last levels.
Traders said besides reduced offtake by stockists, fall in demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly led to the slide in groundnut oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil fell by Rs 200 to Rs 9,200 per quintal. Groundnut solvent refined followed suit and traded lower by Rs 50 to Rs 1750-1850 per tin.

Oilseeds: Mustard seed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut seed Rs 2,150-2,900, Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 800-1,000.
Edible oils: Groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) Rs 9,200, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,750-1,850, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 8,250, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,295-1,340, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,345-1,445, Sesame mill delivery Rs 10,200, Soybean Refined mill delivery (Indore) Rs 7,650, Soybean Degum (Kandla) Rs 7,250, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 5,500, Cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) Rs 7,700, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,700, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 6,750 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 3,100-3,150.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 9,500, Castor Rs 7,500-7,600, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450. (PTI)
