Granddaughter of KaranSingh ties nuptial knot in ‘Regal’ way

NEW DELHI: The who’s who of royalty showered their blessings on Nirvan Singh, grandson of Captain Amarinder Singh and Maharani Preneet Kaur, as he tied the royal nuptial knot with Mriganka Singh, granddaughter of MP and member of the Jammu and Kashmir princely family Dr Karan Singh, in the majestic backdrop of Lutyen’s Delhi today.

The young couple was joined in matrimony through the Sikh Anand Karaj rituals in the morning, followed by the Kashmiri Hindu pheras in the evening, in the presence of their grandparents and other close family members and relatives.

Nirvan’s parents Sardar Gurpal Singh and Jayainder Kaur (daughter of Captain Singh) welcomed Mriganka (daughter of Vikramaditya Singh and Chitrangada Singh) into the Patiala royal family.

While Vikramaditya, member of Jammu Kashmir Legislative Council, is the son of Dr Karan Singh, Chitrangda is the daughter of former Union minister late Madhav Rao Scindia, a scion of the erstwhile Gwalior state. (AGENCIES)
