Gramin Dak Sevaks’ strike enters 12th day

JAMMU, June 2: The indefinite strike by Gramin Dak Sevaks of Postal Department, who are demanding implementation of GDS 7th Pay Commission, entered into 12th day today.
Because of the ongoing strike since May 22, which is being spearheaded by National Union Gramin Dak Sevaks (NUGDS), work at Postal Department remained paralyzed   throughout India.
At Jammu, a protest demonstration was held by the Gramin Dak Sevaks in front of the office of Senior Post Master Jammu, Head Office.  The protest demonstration was attended by a number of Gramin Dak Sevaks and members of the sister organizations of National Postal Federation J&K, which has extended its full support to the ongoing strike.
The Comrades of National Union Gramin Dak Sevaks (NUGDS J&K Circle), who addressed the dharna, included Keshav Sharma, Ram Krishan Bhat, Harbans Singh, Som Nath, Charan Dass, Makhan Lal, Sarfu Ram, Sohan Lal and Ramesh Chander.
