JAMMU, Mar 15: J&K Grameen Bank under the chairmanship of RK Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD organized Digital – Financial Literacy Awareness Programmes (D-FLAPs) in villages Narian and Sasal under the branch office Chingus and Doongi Brahmana respectively.
Harpal Singh, BDO Doongi, who was the chief guest, appreciated the tremendous efforts of bank towards digitalization and financial inclusion.
DDM Des Raj, who was the guest of honour, highlighted about developments in banking sector and latest schemes of NABARD.
Vipan Gupta, Senior Manager MF&FI Department J&K Grameen Bank highlighted that with our thrust on enabling an impactful mindset changes towards Cash to cashless economy, we are nurturing environment of transformation across our clientele, structures, systems, processes and skills in the bank as a whole.
Rupay debit cards were also distributed to the customers.
P P Singh, Senior Manager AO Rajouri / Poonch stressed the need of using various Applications of the bank for getting cashless transactions and also highlighted the importance of cashless transactions that shall not only save time of the customers, reduce their wait time in banks but shall give boost to direct revenues of the Government in the shape of tax collections utilised for development of the villages.
GCCs , KCCs and Car Loans of about Rs. 29 lakh were also disbursed during the programme.
Representatives of various Line Departments and Bajaj Allianz also attended the programme. Branch Head Chingus, Dinesh Kumar and Branch Head Doongi Brahmana Tara Chand also stressed upon the social security schemes and  presented the vote of thanks.
