Grameen Bank organizes awareness programme on Financial Inclusion

JAMMU, Dec 29: J&K Grameen Bank under the chairmanship of RK Chhibber, in collaboration with NABARD, organized awareness programme on the Pradhan Mantri’s Social Security Schemes at village Qila Darhal, under the Branch Office Lam.
BDO Qila Darhal Kulbushan Sharma was chief guest on the occasion. DDM NABARD Des Raj was the guest of honour and he spoke at length about the various schemes of NABARD and Digital India.
Speaking on the occasion, Vipan Gupta, Senior Manager, MF&FI J&K Grameen Bank, informed the participants at length regarding the benefits of social security schemes named (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha BimaYojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana. He further informed the gathering that these schemes have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population, particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. He advised the people to avail this benefit through nearest Grameen Bank Branch. The thrust was also given towards technology adoption in banking to make India – a less cash economy.
Pritpal Singh, Senior Manager, J&K Grameen Bank,  made people aware of new Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme) in which the premium rates to be paid by the farmers have been brought down substantially so as to enable more farmers avail insurance cover against crop loss on account of natural calamities.
The Rupay Cards were also distributed during the event.
Representatives of various Line Departments were also present amongst whom Kanwal enlightened people about Animal Husbandry.
Sarpanch Qila Darhal, Paramjit Singh emphasized on Aadhaar seeding. Besides huge gathering, Panchs of the area also attended the said camp.
Branch Head Lam, Mohinder Kumar Choudhary presented the vote of thanks.
