Govt’s thrust on inclusive, sustainable growth: Lal Singh

KATHUA, Feb 16: Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology Choudhary Lal Singh today said achieving inclusive and sustainable growth of all the three regions of J&K is the top priority of the Government.
He was addressing locals after inaugurating and laying foundation of a number of development projects including roads, lanes, additional classrooms with toilet complex, tractor road, today here at villages of Prungal, Samaan, Shaara, Jandrail, Bhoond and Sialag of Basholi.
Describing Basholi as the economic power house of the region, Lal Singh said the area is set to progress in all spheres including education, industry and tourism.
“In coming years, Basholi, which is bestowed with unparalleled natural beauty, will attain a distinct identity in the region,” he said, adding the Government has laid special focus on developing potential locations here to attract tourists.
Lal Singh said it is the endeavor of the Government to provide all basic facilities to the people, adding that a well-conceived programme has been devised to address all issues in a phased manner. He said provision for better healthcare, education, PHE and road connectivity are the priority sectors of the Government, adding that Government is paying focused attention to upgrade the same in all three regions.
He sought people’s cooperation in implementing all Government schemes so that benefits of such schemes reach to the targeted population.
