Govt urged to construct Jawala Ji shrine

JAMMU, Dec 19: Pt. Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust in its meeting at Sharika Peeth Sansthan Subash Nagar today has appealed the Government to construct the Jawala Ji Temple on the pattern of Char-e-Sharief Shrine and Peer Dastgeer Shrine in Budgam and Srinagar districts of Kashmir valley.
The meeting, which was held to finalize the arrangements for the Chetna Diwas falling on December 27 has demanded that Government should construct the temple on the same pattern as it constructed the Muslim shrines which gutted in Valley during the period of turmoil.
The meeting reiterated its demand regarding passage of Kashmiri Hindu Shrines and Temples Bill for the protection and management of Hindu religious places in Valley.
The meeting was informed that people in large number will take part in Chetna Diwas to pay homage to martyr Pt Prem Nath Bhat. It also condoled the sad and untimely demise of J K Koul ex president of Sharika Peeth Sanstha. The meeting was attended by V K Kashkari, A K Raina, S P Zutshi, Shadi Lal Bhat, M L Kabo and M L Jalalai.
Meanwhile Shri Jawala JI Samiti in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of its president M K Raina discussed in detail the situation created due gutting of holy shrine of Mata Jawala Ji at Khrew in Pulwama district of Kashmir valley.
It said reconstruction of the temple was needed immediately and the construction will be taken up in hand as early as possible.
It said though construction involves a huge amount as the shrine is situated on a hill lock so it will involve more cost for carriage of material. The meeting said the construction will take place in such a manner that the original shape of the shrine is not disturbed.
