Govt Pharmacists discuss demands

JAMMU, Dec 6: Jammu Kashmir Government Pharmacist Association (JKGPA) discussed their demands in a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of its president, Sushil Sudan.
In the meeting, leaders of the Association drawn from various blocks and districts of Jammu province participated. They discussed various demands like up gradation/creation of the posts of Block Pharmacy Officers and District Pharmacy Officers proposal of which stands submitted by both Directors of Health Services, J&K.
They also deliberated on the demand of sanctioning Technical Grade in favour of the pharmacists to avoid the stagnation of pharmacists/paramedical staff such as Lab, Dental, X-Ray Technicians, Theatre Assistant, ECG, USG technicians on the analogy of Government Medical College, J&K and on the analogy of Sanitary Inspectors of Health Department of the State.
The meeting also discussed implementation of 7th Pay Commission in J&K with all the benefits extended to Central Health, FW and Medical Education Department along with other allowances. The leaders appealed the authorities concerned to redress the genuine grievances of the cadre at the earliest failing which Association would be left no other option to resort to adopt agitational path and the Government would be responsible for the consequences/public sufferings.
Prominent among others who addressed the meeting included Sheikh Mehrajudin (president, Kashmir province) Choudhary Jarnail Singh, Dheeraj Sharma, Vishal Patil, Varinder Singh, Manzoor Hussain, Kuldeep Dabgotra and others.
