Govt paying focused attention on strengthening health infra in rural areas: Bali

BHADERWAH, Oct 2: Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today laid foundation stone of staff quarters at Sub-District Hospital Bhaderwah to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.1.91 crore.
Deputy Commissioner, Doda, Bhawani Rakwal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bhader-wah, Imam Din, Block Medical Officer, Bhaderwah, Dr. Yudhvir Singh and other officers of the Health Department were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that it is endeavor of the Government to strengthen the health infrastructure across the State to ensure better working environment in the health institutions for the doctors and para-medics, especially in the rural and far-flung areas. He said residential accommodation for the doctors and para-medics working in the rural areas is a basic requirement and Government is paying focused attention in this direction.
He said that several initiatives for upgradation of medicare facilities, with special emphasis in the rural areas have been taken by the Government since its inception and things have improved considerably on ground. He said that appropriate instructions have been issued to the senior functionaries to pay regular field visits to get personal feedback about the facilities and addressing the problems instantly so that the benefits of Government programmes reach down to the needy at their doorstep.
On the occasion, the Minister called upon the executing agency to complete the construction work of the project within the stipulated time frame by ensuring quality standards strictly as per the specifications.
