JAMMU, Jan 2: The State Government today ordered re-instatement of Abdul Rashid Lone of Baramulla who was dismissed from the service on April 2, 2007 while working as Helper in PDD.
However, he will not be entitled to any salary from April 2, 2007 till today and the period of dismissal shall count only for pensionary benefits.
The re-instatement of Abdul Rashid has been ordered after Supreme Court dismissed an SLP by the State Government, which had challenged the High Court direction of quashing the dismissal order.
The State Government had filed SLP against the Single Judge order and after it was dismissed by the Division Bench of High Court, another SLP was filed in the Supreme Court, which too was dismissed vide order dated 29-11-2013.
For compliance of the SC direction, the State Government today ordered re-instatement of Abdul Rashid but also maintained that Managing Director PDD shall hold a departmental enquiry against him under the rules on the basis of record on which he was dismissed from service.
