Govt mocking with judicial setup in Rajouri Court: Mirza

RAJOURI, Apr 23: Advocates from Rajouri under the banner of Bar Rajouri have castigated State Government for mocking with the judicial setup of Additional Sessions Court Rajouri and are on indefinite strike against Law Ministry for playing with the post of Additional Public Prosecutor.
The Advocates led by Bar president, Rajouri  Adv Haq Nawaz Mirza addressed a press conference at Press Club, Rajouri  and projected their points strongly. Mirza and other speakers castigated State Government for playing football with the post of Additional Public Prosecutor of Additional Sessions Court Rajouri.
They informed that one Adv Ishfaq Bukhari was engaged as Additional Public Prosecutor for Additional Sessions Court Rajouri in June 2017 and was disengaged by Law Department in September 2017 and was once again engaged in October 2017 but was once again disengaged in February 2018 and again engaged on April 18, 2018 but  the order was again changed and within  24 hours, he was disengaged again on April 19.
They said that such repeated orders by Government clearly represent the destructive approach towards this prestigious post in Rajouri judicial setup. Advocates also informed that they are on strike for  last three days against this destructive approach of Law Department of  State Government.
Advocates also warned Government to immediately take a final call on this issue and to stop mocking with judicial setup adding that due to such repeated orders of Government, work in said court has been badly hit.
Besides Bar president, other Advocates who addressed press included,  Shokat Choudhary, Rakesh Sharma, Asif Iqbal, Mohd Farooq, Zulifkar Ahmed, Shahnawaz Mirza and Tariq Mehmood.
