Govt missing in rural belt, initiatives still awaited: Jan

POONCH, Sept 28: Castiga-ting State Government for shelving the ever  important road project from Mandi to Loran area of Poonch district, Provincial president of Youth NC, Ajaz Jan here has said that Government is almost missing  in rural pockets and the new initiatives promised by BJP and PDP leaders at the time of polls are still awaited.
While interacting with general public in far flung Loran belt during his tour, Youth Provincial president of NC Ajaz Jan said that many promises were made with people by ruling party leaders who managed to get the votes of public on these promises of new initiatives but nothing has moved ahead.
“Promises for new initiatives have now become dreams with ruling leaders not even bothering to meet the voters ” Jan said adding that State Government is almost missing in rural pockets with system running on God’s mercy.
While terming the proposed plan of  modernising Loran to Mandi road under PMGSY,  Jan said that  road project was sanctioned during previous Government under keen supervision of  the then CM,  Omar Abdullah but the said project is yet to see the light of the day due to the careless approach of the present Government having  sense of step motherly  treatment with Loran belt of Mandi.
Jan further said that after Kashmir valley,  situation is also turning tense in Chenab valley which is a cause of concern and Government should ensure that situation doesn’t deteriorates further.
Meanwhile, during this tour of  Poonch and Mandi, locals of  the area apprised YNC leaders about the problems being face by them which include missing of Government officials from their offices during duty hours.
Jan assured the locals that although NC is in opposition but he will meet senior officers of  District Administration and will apprise them of  these issues.
