Govt lost moral authority to remain in office: Bhalla

JAMMU, Sept 16:  Former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today said that present Govt has lost moral authority to remain in office as despite being in power at the Centre and in the State, BJP failed miserably on governance front and let down Jammu people.
While interacting with people at Kullian near Chatha today, Bhalla said this Government has nothing to showcase as its achievement. He said  that the treachery and deceit of the BJP is haunting Jammu people who reposed their unflinching faith on its leadership. But now they are feeling duped.
Bhalla was deeply disappointed over unhygienic surroundings in the area which is also main cause of dengue spread in the area. He said dengue being dangerous and fatal disease, as such the threat is to be taken seriously. Public awareness is of vital importance and  precautionary measures have to be brought to the knowledge of one and all.
Accusing BJP-PDP Coalition Government of having failed to address the problems of the people, Bhalla said, since BJP-PDP joined hands; the miseries of the people of Jammu and Kashmir have increased manifolds. “More than two and half years have passed but they have failed to fulfill any of the promises, be it the problems faced by the border residents, or the problems faced by the farmers,  refugees and Kashmiri Pandits, this Government has done nothing to address those problems,” Bhalla added.
Instead of taking concrete steps to provide means of livelihood to people, the present Government has neglected it completely”, he said. He said all the important projects of Jammu region whether it is Jammu AIIMS, Smart City, Artificial Lake Project, the Chenab Water Supply Scheme, construction of the Rehari Chungi- Jewal Chowk flyover, ring roads are lying unattended.
Former minister said that BJP-PDP Government is taking credit of those developmental workers which were initiated by previous Government in Jammu and Kashmir. He questioned that why Jammu unemployed educated youth have been facing discrimination under the alleged patronage of alliance Government in which BJP playing major role. “
