Govt ignoring people of remote areas: Darakshan

JAMMU, Jan 13: Socialistic Democratic Party leader Dr Darakshan Andrabi has alleged that people from remote and far-flung areas were being ignored by the State Government and they are struggling for basic amenities.
Addressing a  press conference here today, the SDP president lambasted Omar Abdullah led Coalition Government for ignoring the people of  the far-flung areas of J&K who are deprived off all basic facilities.  She said the Delhi sponsored political ideology which has exploited the country  and created all the troubles in J&K  at political level is now claiming of giving the people a potent and responsible political leadership. Most of the political parties and its leaders in the past have only exploited the people for their vote bank and its leaders raised huge assets by indulging in plunder.
Dr Andrabi claimed that SDP was the only party in the State which has political vision, clear ideology and a strong commitment to serve the people. She said since the first snowfall in December in Kashmir, many villages of the constituencies of Chief Minister  Omar Abdullah and even the Forest Minister and a few others are without electricity and water supply. Entire Chenab belt is also facing acute shortage of water and electricity. The people are faced with these difficulties while the Ministers were missing from their areas. She said not only NC but PDP too, was befooling the innocent people of Kashmir.
SDP leaders Ajay Sharma, State general secretary, district president Ganderbal Engineer Ghulam Hassan, Sanjay Manhas and Mohd Ameen were also present on the occasion.
