JAMMU, Apr 27: The State Government has constituted a committee for fast tracking of consumer metering, including their operation, maintenance, reading and billing services besides implementation of Smart Grid Projects in Jammu and Kashmir.
The committee, headed by the Chief Secretary, shall critically analyze the consultancy charges as contained in the proposal and suggest measures to maximize participation of State owned PSUs and local contractors.
Administrative Secretaries of the Finance, PDD and Planning, Development & Monitoring Departments will be Members of the committee, which shall submit its report within a period of one month.
