Govt focusing on equitable development: Bali

RAJOURI/REASI, Dec 9: Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today said that equal development of all three regions of the State is the agenda of the coalition Government and people can see the change of development scenario on ground.
Bali, on second day of his three-day tour to the hilly districts of Rajouri-Reasi-Ramban, today addressed a massive public rally at Budhal and listened to the grievances of the people. He individually interacted with the people and received the detailed feedback regarding the basic amenities, particularly the health facilities in the Government institutions.
On the occasion, the Minister announced up-gradaton of Primary Health Centre Budhal as Community Health Centre on public demand in view of vast catchment area and massive rush of patients. He issued instructions to the engineers of Roads and Building Department to prepare a DPR for the construction of additional building within three weeks. He also announced one Modern Ambulance for PHC Budhal which was also badly needed for this hilly and backward pocket.
He maintained that this backward area has remained a victim of apathy of successive regimes, but the present Government will change its profile by ensuring overall development. He said the Government has devised a well-knit development programme with special focus on essential sectors like road, health, education, PHE, electricity which are key to the development of people. He asked the people to maintain close coordination with the administration and help in effective implementation of various flagship programmes in the area. He also called for maintaining communal harmony, peace and unity which are pre-requisite for ensuring development, said the Minister.
The Minister also paid visit to PHC, Budhal and inspected its functioning. He interacted with the doctors and patients and enquired about the diagnostic facilities. He directed the doctors and para-medics to ensure best possible services to the patients with missionary spirit. He also called for maintaining punctuality and cleanliness in the hospital premises.
Earlier, on way to Budhal, the Minister also interacted with the locals of different villages and listened to their problems and issued on-the-spot instructions to the administration to address these on priority.
He inspected Community Health Centre, Kandi in Kotrenka and interacted with the doctors and patients. He directed the concerned to further improve the services.
Later, at Mahore in Reasi, the Minister inspected the on-going construction work of new building of CHC and directed the concerned executing agency to speed up the pace and complete the project in a time bound manner.
