KISHTWAR,  Dec 12: Form-er minister and  MLC Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed  Kichloo  today criticised State Government for its failure to provide basic amenities to the people of Sub Division Padder in Kishtwar  constituency.
While addressing a public meeting at Gulabgarh the NC leader said that PDP-BJP Coalition Government has totally failed to address the problems of the people of the Kishtwar district.
Since they (BJP-PDP) joined hands, the miseries of the people of the State in general and Kishtwar  constituency in particular have increased manifolds. The condition of roads Gilhar to Padder and Sohal to Ishtyari has become deplorable besides there is problem of potable water, power supply, medical facilities, ration, cooking gas, kerosene oil,  education facilities etc. The people are fed up from the unscheduled power cuts due to which the water supply also remains affected.
Kichloo demanded immediate creation of the post of Additional Deputy Commis-sioner (ADC) for Padder.
He said  MGNREGA job card holders should be provided rightful money. He warned the Central Government and Rural Development Departm-ent that in case of  further delay in the payment of liability wages, he along with thousands of Job card holders will start agitation.
The MLC said that link roads in Padder area are in dilapidated condition which shows the real face of the Government. He also demanded provision of potable water and electric supply at the earliest so that people may not suffer any more.
Urging upon party workers to reach out to the people for resolution of the issues confronting them Kichloo  described the National Conference  party as an instrument of service to the people, which has remained dedicated to the cause of serving the people. He said NC believes in strengthening the people and is committed to equitable development of the State,  adding that the NC party is duty bound to address the urges and aspirations of the people.
The MLC also visited Atholi, Kharthie, Khajie, Kundal and listened to the problems of locals.
