Govt failed to settle problems of migrants: JTC

JAMMU, Sept 1: A joint meeting of the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) was held here, today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita in which grave concern was expressed over the failure of both Central and State Governments in redressing the problems of the migrants.
The meeting said that the claims of development by the Government are totally hollow.
Addressing the meeting Mr Pandita said that Centre has not taken any steps for constructing a township for migrants in the Valley and the promises made so far in this regard are totally false. He demanded proper compensation for migrants along with construction of a township for their settlement in Valley.
Pandita said since the BJP came to power the miseries of people have increased and militancy, killings and border firing has also increased. Besides, this Government has totally ignored the migrants.
