Govt Enterprises, Departments celebrate R-Day

JAMMU, Jan 27: The 65th Republic day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and great enthusiasm by various Government Enterprises and Departments across the State.
The Income Tax Office celebrated the pride moment by hoisting national tricolour at Aayakar Bhawan Jammu. A K Thatai, the Income Tax Commissioner, Jammu, unfurled the flag in presence of officers, officials and other dignitaries from various fields. Security personnel from Haryana Police performed the guard of honour after national anthem was sung. The occasion was marked by a cultural programme by Sunil Music Group, patriotic songs and speeches by president of IT Bar Association, NIRC Jammu Chapter and others.
The R-Day was celebrated in Central Jail Jammu Kot Bhalwal wherein Superintendent Dinesh Sharma hoisted national flag in the presence of officials and jail inmates. On the occasion, four life convicted prisoners were released on the order of Government. They included Ram Paul son of Dhanna Ram of Kuta Hiranagar, Naseer Mohd son of Talib Hussain of Tulli Mahore, Reasi, Jai Karan Kumar son of Banarsi Lal of Mungair Bihar and Bushan Kumar son of Kaku Ram of Tikri Udhampur
On the occasion of Republic Day,  national flag was hoisted in District Jail, Ambphalla Jammu,  by the Superintendent Harish Kotwal. All the jail inmates and  staff took part in the celebration.
The national flag was hoisted by the District Jail Rajouri by the Superintendent while a strong contingent of CRPF personnel presented guard of honour. On the occasion, jail inmates presented a colourful cultural programme while a volleyball match was also organized between STA and jail inmates.
PHE Division Akhnoor celebrated the Republic Day by organizing a function at PHE Station Barian. On the occasion, X-En Ashwani Kumar Anand hoisted national flag amidst chanting of patriotic slogans by the employees and others. Sweets were also distributed as mark of celebration.
The 65th Republic Day was celebrated in the office of Regional Directorate Central Board of Workers Education, Ministry of Labour, GOI, here at Rehari Colony, near BOSE office. Regional Director S N Haider  hoisted the national flag in the presence of staff members and others.
Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Northern Region Transmission System-II, celebrated the Republic Day at Grid Bhawan near Bahu Plaza. On the occasion,  S K Sharma, General Manager (Incharge-Projects), unfurled the national flag in the presence of senior officials, their families and president of Shrishti Mahila Samiti, Meena Sharma. S K Sharma also distributed prizes among the winners of various competitions organized in connection with the R-Day.
Republic Day was celebrated by Dulhasti Power Station, Burser and Kiru Kwar Projects at Administrative Block Kishtwar wherein a large number of employees, CISF personnel and children assembled for their participation. Arvind Bhat, General Manager Dulhasti Power Station, unfurled the national flag.
In connection with Republic Day, office of the District Youth Services and Sports, Jammu, organized a colourful cultural programme in Police Auditorium at Gulshan Ground, here today.
Usha Vohra,  First Lady of J&K State, was chief guest on the occasion while Director General of Youth Services and Sports, Navin Agarwal, presided over the function. Students of KC Public School, DBN Talab Tillo, GGMS Thalora, GCW Parade, New Era HS Jammu, Dewan Devi HSS Rajpura, Army Public School Domana, May Fair HSS Chand Nagar, Guru Harkrishan Public School Jammu and members of women welfare organizations presented colourful items depicting Indian cultural ethos.
Police Technical Training Institute Vijaypur celebrated   Republic Day by organizing a function, which was presided over by Principal PTTI, Ranjit Kanwal (SP) and attended by Vice-Principal Anil Katoch (SP), Dy SP Ashok Kumar Chib,  Dy SP K K Zutshi,  Dy SP Satish Sharma and others. The trainees performed a colourful cultural function while several sports events were also organized on the occasion.
The R-Day was celebrated with gaiety and enthusiasm at CBI Office, Rail Head Complex Jammu wherein national flag was hoisted by Dr Arman Deep Singh, SSP CBI Jammu. On the occasion, `E’ Coy of 33 Bn CRPF presented guard of honour while the CBI staff members pledged to fight against corruption. Children participated in the painting competition, quiz contest and other activities.
The Department of Agriculture, Jammu, celebrated the R-Day at Krishi Bhawan. The function was organized by All J&K Agriculture Officers Forum, All J&K Agriculture Employees Association and Non-Gazetted Agriculture Graduate Association. Director Agriculture, Jammu, Ajay Khajuria hoisted the national flag while a colourful function was presented by children of Jagriti Mission School Talab Tillo and employees of the Department. Dr M C Drivakis, Director Rice Research Institute, Patina was special guest on the occasion.
