Govt dealing strongly with militancy in Kashmir: Khanna

KATHUA, Sept 21: While reacting to the barbaric act of militants in Kashmir in which three SPOs of Jammu and Kashmir were abducted the killed, J&K BJP Incharge Avinash Rai Khanna said that the Government is dealing strongly with militancy in Kashmir.
“With these kinds of incidents, the anti social elements are trying to derail the peace process going on in Kashmir. They cannot demoralize the morale of security forces with such barbaric act. Our jawans are fighting with full courageous”, he said.
He added that militancy is being dealt strongly as Home Minister Rajnath Singh has already gave free hands to security forces deal with militancy.
Khanna was addressing the media persons in connection with preparation of Urban Local Bodies and Panchayat elections here.
He criticized the political parties-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), National Conference (NC) and BSP for boycotting and not participating in the poll process. He said these parties want to derail the peace and democracy process going on in J&K for which the people of State were eagerly waiting since years.
“We wrote a letter to Election Commission of India to re-register these parties. These political parties have recently participated in LAHDC election then why they are against these ULB elections.
He informed that BJP contested first time in Kargil and gain vote bank and now the membership of BJP is increasing upto 3 lakhs. He said the people have shown their interest in Bjp and its policies.
“We must get victory in Jammu and also actively gain in Kashmir in Urban Local Bodies election”, he said, adding that BJP will fight on the issue of development projects under taken and going on speedily in the State.
On the occasion MLA Kathua Rajeev Jasrotia asked the candidates nominated for the ULB election to work with dedication to mark the remarkable victory of BJP in this election.
MP Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas, MLA Kuldeep Raj and many others were also present on the occasion.
