Govt constitutes Expert Penal to formulate Education Policy

JAMMU, Nov 27: State Government today accorded sanction to constitution of an Expert Panel to work on formulation of Education Policy for the school system in J&K, School Education Vision Document 2025 and Language Policy: medium of instruction, regional languages and school curriculum. The Expert Panel will furnish the report with its recommendation with in a period of three months.
Prof Farida Khan, Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi as Chairperson, Masud Choudhary, Former Vice Chancellor BGSB University, Rajouri, Prof Ramakant Agnihotri, Advisory Vidhya Bhawan Society Udaipur (Rajasthan), Prof A. G. Madhosh, Former Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Kashmir, Prof. Rekha Choudhary, Former Dean Research Studies, University of Jammu, Sonam Angchuk, SECMOL, Leh, Prof Ajit Angral, Jammu, Dr. Nandini Manjreker, School of Education., Centre for Sociology, Tata Institute of Social Science, Mumbai,  Jamal Kidwai, Director Aman Trust, New Delhi and G. N Masudi, Fomer Joint Director/ Principal SIE, Srinagar one member of Expert Panel.
The Expert Penal will be assisted by the Advisor Mohammad Rafi with requisite support from the Nucleus Cell (I/C RMSA/SSA).
Meanwhile, in another order, Government accorded sanction to nomination of Prof Y. R Malhotra, Former Vice Chancellor, Jammu University, Masud Choudhary, Former Vice Chancellor BGSB University, Rajouri, Sonam Angchuk, SECMOL, Leh, Prof Omkar Singh Sudan, Former Registrar, University of Jammu, Prof G. L Thapa, Former Principal, SPMR college of Commerce, Jammu and Avinash Alma, Former Joint Director/Principal SIE, Jammu as special invitees SSEAB.
