JAMMU, Jan 31: The Government is likely to take a final decision on introducing a single window system for redressing various issues of private schools regarding recognition, affiliation and upgradation procedures, in a high level meeting of committee of all stake holders i.e, representatives of administrative department, BOSE and Private Schools’ Association (PSA) of both provinces scheduled to be held on February 11, 2014.
“The meeting was called on the request of the Association and will be held at 12.30 pm in the office of Director, School Education, Jammu, who has been appointed as chairman of the Committee”, the release issued by the PSA said.
The Committee was constituted by the Government after the Private Schools’ Association gave representation to Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, and apprised him of their day-to-day problems regarding recognition, affiliation, management committee approval, upgradation procedure etc, which it said, have become serious threats to the schools in imparting quality education to the students particularly coming from lower strata of the society, as the school owners have to wander from one office to another to get these work done.
