JAMMU, Mar 27: The State Government today banned articles made of non-biodegradable material within territorial jurisdiction of the State.
The banned articles included disposable plates, cups, bowls, tumblers, spoons, forks and knives.
An order to this effect was issued today by Commissioner/ Secretary, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi.
The order will come into force within one month from the date of publication in the Government gazette.
