JAMMU, Jan 5: On the occasion of 350th Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu organized a free medical camp in collaboration with Health Employees Welfare Association, here today at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Dev Ji Chand Nagar Jammu.
In this camp, more than 3400 patients took the benefit of free medical assistance. Experts of Ayurved and Yog from Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu provided their services. Free medicines were also distributed.
On the occasion, an awareness programme was also organized. Directorate of Health Services supported the camp by organizing Diabetes Screening camp with a team of doctors and paramedical staff and provided free medicines on the occasion.
The camp was under the guidance of J&K State Gurudwara Prabandak Committee. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Taran Singh, Medical Superintendent of Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu said that the hospital intended to take many steps to provide specialized treatment for life style disease, Metabolic disorders and many other ailments such as Piles, Fistulas, Fissures, spondilitis, stress related disorders through Panchakarma & Ksharsutra techniques. He further added that since Ayurvedic Medical Science is evolved and developed in Indians conditions, therefore it is much beneficial for people living in Indians sub continent.
