Governor inaugurates week-long Art Camp

SRINAGAR, Sept 24: Governor N.N. Vohra inaugurated at the Raj Bhawan here today, a week-long National Level Art Camp which is being organized under the auspices of Raj Bhavan, in collaboration with the State Tourism Department.
The camp has been organized in line with the “In Residence” programme, to appreciate the creative potential of known artists.
The nine artists from Jammu and Kashmir and other States in the country who are participating in the camp are, K.K. Gandhi, Sangeeta Gupta, Dharmendra Rathore, Charan Sharma, Manish Pushkale, Nabibakhsh Mansoori, Shafi Chaman, Vijender Sharma and Vinod Sharma.
On the occasion of the commencement of the Camp, the Governor and the Lady Governor welcomed the artists to the beautiful valley of Kashmir and interacted with them. Secretary Tourism, Farooq Ahmed Shah and other senior officers of the Raj Bhavan were present on the occasion.
