JAMMU, May 4: Governor N. N. Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today greeted the people on the occasion of Shab-i-Mairaj.
In his message of felicitations, the Governor expressed the hope that the celebration of this auspicious occasion would further strengthen the bonds of amity, harmony and brotherhood and be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In her message of felicitation, Mehbooba Mufti said the holy occasion should remind all of us the hard struggle that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) launched for the good of humanity and how he ascended the heights of glory as a result.
She also highlighted the principals of Islam pertaining to human service and welfare of poor and needy.
