Governing Body of SSH Kakryal takes several decisions for augmenting facilities

KAKRYAL, Oct 25: The 29th meeting of the Governing Body of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal was held here under the chairmanship of Dr. S. S. Bloeria, Member, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Chairman of the Governing Body of the Hospital.
The Governing Body took a number of important decisions for augmenting and upgrading the diagnostic and treatment facilities to further enhance the operational capacities to provide best possible patient care at this 230-bed tertiary care Superspeciality Hospital, which has been established by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
Those who participated in the deliberations included B. B. Vyas, Financial Commissioner, Planning and Development, who is also Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee of the Hospital; and Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board; both members of the Governing Body; Dr. M. K. Kumar, Additional CEO; Dr. (Brig) Man Mohan Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer, SMVDNSH; and other concerned officers from the Shrine Board side.
Those who took part in the Governing Body meeting discussions on behalf of NVDSHPL/NH included Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Vice Chairman, MD and Group CEO NH and member of the Governing Body of the Hospital; Sunil Kumar CN, CEO Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal and Zonal Head, NH; A. Nagarajan, Sr. Vice President, Finance, NH and other concerned executives.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bloeria stressed the crucial need of further intensifying the efforts by all the stakeholders so that the hospital is fast developed as a centre of excellence for rendering best possible diagnostic and treatment facilities to the patients.
The Governing Body, while deliberating on the augmentation of existing infrastructure and putting in place more facilities to meet the future requirements of the hospital in the best interest of the patient care, emphasised the high importance of drawing up a 20-25 year comprehensive Master Plan for the Hospital Campus for creating the various required facilities accordingly.
The meeting discussed the modalities vis-a-vis the plan of the hospital for providing services of this Superspeciality Hospital to the people of the remote areas by putting in place the facility of consultation through telemedicine.
The meeting also took stock of organising of various outreach programmes, different workshops and other interactive sessions by the hospital during the past about one month and those planned for the coming months.
Other matters that came under review in the Governing Body meeting included to-date status regarding empanelment of the Superspeciality Hospital with CGHS/ECHS, conducting manpower as well as security audit, procurement of medical equipments for further expanding and upgrading the diagnostic and treatment facilities at this state-of-the-art Superspeciality Hospital etc.
The Chairman of the Governing Body was informed that the hospital shall very soon start the programme on TB screening in close coordination of Health Department of J&K. The CEO of Superspeciality Hospital Kakryal further informed that Sunday OPD has been started by the hospital in Jammu and Udhampur. Besides, a critical care ambulance has also been stationed at Jammu for benefit of the patients.
